We gather around a table for a Scripture reading and reflection, voice our individual needs, and offer hands on healing prayer for anyone who is requesting. Let us know what your prayer intentions are by writing them down in the prayer book located in the Narthex (the west entrance of the church). We will pray for your intentions each week! All are welcome!
Reach Out For Christ (ROC) is our Jr. High program for 7th and 8th Graders. Within this program, teens have the chance to grow in community in the love of Christ and love for His Church through passionate teaching of the truth and honest sharing of our lives as we live out the Gospel by serving and loving one another. The Fall is full of great activities and lots of fun. The program is based on the meaningful and effective Faith formation, exploration of our Catholic Faith, the Bible and service to our neighbors and friends.
We are excited to share that we are in the process of starting a Catholic in Recovery meeting at Ss. Simon & Jude Cathedral! Catholic in Recovery is a community of individuals and families seeking recovery from a variety of addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments. If you have experience in 12-step recovery and are willing to be part of our core team or if you are interested in participating in the meeting, please contact Linda F. (602) 451-3741 or [email protected] For more information about Catholic in Recovery, visit www.catholicinrecovery.com.
RCIA is for adults who are interested in becoming fully initiated into the Catholic Church. This would include anyone who is not baptized, or for a person who was baptized into another faith denomination and would like to become Catholic. It is also for baptized Catholics who have not received the Eucharist (First Communion) and Confirmation. Classes will begin on September 18th at 7:00pm. If you or someone you know is interested in joining us, please contact Susan at 602-319-0487 for more information. We look forward to meeting you!
We are a Mom’s Bible Study for school and parish moms, where we come together for prayer, study of the Word, and fellowship. We meet Tuesdays in St. Bridget's Room at 8 AM. You are welcome to bring your little ones! Questions? Please contact Rosie at [email protected]
For a child to receive their sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation they must be in 3rd grade or older. If your children are unbaptized and 7 years or older they will be prepared for all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation). We are very excited that you are looking to register your family for our Faith Formation Program. Please know that the program is a year of sacramental preparation. The Diocese of Phoenix prepares children for both Sacraments, First Holy Communion and Confirmation which take place at the same time.
High school teens are invited to participate in Youth Group. Our program is a Eucharist centered Catholic program for high school teens. By sharing the teachings of our Church and facilitating powerful encounters with Christ, we help the teens grow in knowledge of our faith while transforming their hearts to help them passionately live out the Gospel by serving and loving one another. Through fellowship and open and honest discussion, we grow closer to one another and Christ knowing that we walk this journey together. The Youth Group is just for you! It is a place for you to come together in a loving and caring atmosphere and share your life experiences and faith with your peers. All High School Teens are invited to participate in all events, such as retreats, missions and other activities.
