All medical professionals will face important end-of-life issues, such as physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia. Nikolas Nikas, Esq., will present and examine each within the framework necessary for moral decision-making. Laws and court decisions will be examined alongside the various supportive roles to patients or loved ones as they go through the natural process of death. Mr. Nikas will help all to examine the responsibility of each person to understand the morality of end-of-life issues at any stage of life. Church teachings regarding end-of-life issues will be examined and shown how they may differ from what the law allows. This event is preceded by 11 a.m. Adoration and Confession and the noon Mass; attendees welcome.
