The Desert Morning of Prayer and Discernment on
Saturday, June 8th with Father Fred Adamson at our Lady of Solitude Monastery is for women ages 18-35 open to a vocation to Consecrated Life. It’s a wonderful opportunity for women discerning a vocation to make a mini-retreat to pray and discern God’s call for their lives, to be enriched by a conference on prayer & discernment and to learn from some Sisters about what Religious Life is like.
The program begins with 8:00 a.m. Mass, followed by a light breakfast and Q&A with the Sisters. Fr. Fred Adamson, V.G. will give an edifying conference on prayer and discernment. After the talk on prayer, there will be a 15-minute break and then an hour of silent Adoration from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. during which time Fr. Adamson will be available to hear Confessions. The morning concludes with a final blessing.
Women interested in coming should RSVP to Sr. Anthony Mary at
sr.anthonymary@dphx.org. Sr. Anthony Mary is leading a caravan from Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral at 6:30 a.m. to arrive at Our Lady of Solitude Monastery by 7:45 a.m. in time for 8:00 a.m. Mass. We return to the Cathedral at around 1:00 p.m.
