Every Catholic is called by their Baptism to reach out in love to others. While that may sometimes be difficult, it is nonetheless spiritually enriching and personally fulfilling. Being a good steward of your gifts means sharing your time, talents, skills and knowledge through volunteering for one or more of our parish apostolates. Every parish relies on the volunteer participation of its community. Each week at Ss. Simon & Jude, dozens of ministry groups are working, praying, and having fun together. There are numerous ways for you to get involved. Each of us has gifts and talents that can benefit others. If you take the initiative to get involved, there is a ministry where your talents are needed to make a difference! Don’t wait to be asked. Contact the Cathedral office or the leader of the ministry in which you are interested to determine how you may be of service.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, and the same Lord. There are varieties of work, but the same God who inspires them all in everyone. To each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
